About Us

We are Cub Scout Pack 570 located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. We are very passionate about scouting and take pride in the program that we deliver to our Scouts.  The Pack reached over 70 scouts in 2016-2017 school year.  Many families join Pack 570 so they can enjoy scouting with their school or neighborhood friends.  Our scouts are from many schools including Whittier Elementary, The Brompton School, Jeffrey Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary and Dimensions of Learning.

We currently have 1 Lion Den, 1 Tiger den, 1 Wolf Dens, 1 Bear Dens, 1 Webelos I and 1 Webelos 2 Den.  Each of the dens are led by an adult Den Leader (a parent volunteer) and at least one adult Assistant Den Leader (a parent volunteer).  All are trained and current in their required training.  Our Pack sets aggressive training expectations for our parent leaders (Akelas) that meet or exceed goals of the Boy Scouts of America – our sons deserve trained leaders and our leaders deserve to be trained.  Some of the dens also have den chiefs, Boy Scouts, who aid the Den Leader and provide role models for the cub scouts.

Our scouts have 2 den meetings and a Pack meeting or Pack activity each month.  Pack meetings are on the third Thursday of each month from 6:30 p.m. at Whittier Elementary cafeteria/gym.

What differentiates our Pack from others is leadership, adult participation, organization, camaraderie, fun, and program.  We are funded through one fundraising effort in the fall.

Pack annual activities typically include:

  • Summer Camp
  • Community service projects
  • Pinewood Derby
  • End of the Year Picnic
  • Rocket Night
  • Brewers Game
  • Haunted Hayride

We schedule summer activities to keep the Pack vibrant during the summer.
